WEEK ONE

external image 6a00c2251cbb83604a00ccff91c35cd756-500piThis book, “I’D TELL YOU I LOVE YOU, BUT THEN I’D HAVE TO KILL YOU”, written by Ally Carter was the book I started reading and finished during the first week of summer. This book is about a girl, Cameron Morgan, which goes to a school which claims to be a school for geniuses, but it’s really a school for spies. They teach the girls advanced martial arts in PE, and chemical warfare in science, and all girls know fourteen different languages. When Cammie goes on a mission to town, she meets a boy, Josh. During her freshman year, she starts sneaking off from school at nights and she meets with Josh which he thinks she is a normal girl who is homeschooled (Cammie hides her real identity from anyone who isn’t from her academy). In the end he gets to see her on a mission which reveals her and her academy’s real identity. Too bad Cammie’s mom, the headmistress of the academy, gives him a tea which makes him forget about everything that had happened.

WEEK TWO

CROSS MY HEART AND HOPE TO SPY was the book I read on the second week of summer. This is the second book of the series. This book talks about when Cammie comes back from school vacation and enters her sophomore year. She is through with her first boy friend and things get a little weird were the Blackthrone Academy (a spy school for boys) come visit the Gallagher Academy. Cammie meets Zach and they become tight. They both end up falling in love with each other but neither will admit it. They have missions together but the semester mission is the most important of all. In the end, the Blackthorne Academy leaves but Cammie and Zach will always be communicated one way or another.

WEEK THREE

external image hurtlocker-poster.jpg

THE HURT LOCKER was a movie I didn’t enjoy that much but it was interesting. It really good effects and it was based on things that are happening in the world. This movie is about a war that is happening in Iraq. The main character is a guy that turns off the bombs that the people in Iraq have activated. During the time he spends there, he finds several obstacles. He becomes friends with an Iraqi boy who later gets killed and used to put bombs inside of his body. Some of the guys get killed but most of them got home back with their families.

WEEK FOUR

DON’T JUDGE A GIRL BY HER COVER is the book I read the fourth week. It is the third book in the series. This talks about Cammie going to Washington to visit Macey (the U.S. senator’s daughter), and encounters a kidnapping attempt in which she, Macey and Preston (the President’s son), are a part of. The whole book is about trying to figure out who was the one who tried to kidnap them. Meanwhile, Zach appears in random places of Cammie’s life and he keeps telling her to be careful. Everybody is protecting Macey and watching her every move so the kidnappers won't get her, even her friends are trying to protect her. Everyone thinks that the kidnappers are after Macey, but who The Circle of Cavan really wants is Cammie.

WEEK FIVE

While I was in Orlando, I went to see ECLIPSE!!! I got to see it on the opening night and it was awesome, although a little awkward because I was watching it with my dad. But anyway I got to see Taylor Lautner. The third movie is about the battle of the newborns against the Cullen family and the werewolves. Victoria made this big army so that they can kill Bella just like Edward killed James in the first movie. Jasper gets to train the whole family and the werewolves since he has experience in this field already. They get to battle while Bella is hiding up in the mountains with Edward. Bella answers Edward’s proposal with a “Yes” with the condition of Edward turning her into a vampire after they are married. She still wants to keep her friendship with Jacob but he takes it uneasy when he hears the news. Jacob thinks that Bella has feelings for him too, just that she won't admit it to herself. Jacob know that he would be better for Bella than Edward because she won't have to change who she is because of him. Bella still wants to be with Edward and keeps insisting that the transformation should hapen soon. The date is set after she marries Edward. Bella’s worst nightmare, Victoria, is destroyed by Edward and she gets rid of that danger forever, but now, her biggest nightmare is telling her dad about her wedding.

WEEK SIX

external image alice_in_wonderland-506x750.jpg

One of the movies that kept me entretained this summer was ALICE IN WONDERLAND, the new version. I really liked it. It was original and unique. I loved the amazing effects they put into the movie and they put a little goth into it. The movie changes a little bit from the original one. In this one, Alice gets proposed by this horrible guy who she really doesn't like. After he proposes, she runs away and follows the rabbit, falling into the whole. She makes greats friends and has many obstacles to face in order to get the White Queen. When she gets there, Alice faces a challenge: defeat the big monster that the evil queen had put against her. She was fighting for the white queen and won her the big title again. My favorite character has to be the Red Queen. She is hilarious, her head made me laugh almost every time I looked at it and the frases she used really got me laughing (my favorite one being "off with his head", she used this all the time). In the she had to leave her friends, like the Mad Hatter (his name is nothing like his personality) behind in that strange world to get back to the real world.

One place that I visited this summer for the first time was London. Unfortunately I was only there for the day and then I had to go back to Europe but I got to see a lot during those few hours. Since it was the queen’s birthday that week, most of the streets were covered with the national flag. While I was walking down towards the queen’s palace, I was lucky enough to see two different groups of soldiers walking down the streets with their uniforms and plenty of horses. One of my favorite places I visited during the one-day trip was the wax museum. Most of my favorite celebrities were there and my camera was full of pictures from that place. I got to see the tower of London, the Big Ben, the Globe Theater, the street where the Rolling Stones played during their early years, London’s Bridge and much more. I had a lot of fun that day. After I returned from Europe, I went to Orlando and had lots of fun screaming on rides and I got the opportunity to enter one of the newest rides, Harry Potter. That ride was fun but got me dizzy after a while, but I really enjoyed it. Two of my favorite roller coasters were Hulk and Dragon Challenge, I really screamed a lot. I had lots of fun on both trips.

WEEK EIGHT

[[image:file/view/made_of_honor.jpg width="188" height="273" align="right"]]

Last week I watched two movies. One movie was Maid of Honor which I really liked. The movie was about a guy and a girl who met in college and became best friends. The

setting is when they are adults, after college. The man is played by Patrick Dempsey and at the beginning of the movie, he is a player. He doesn’t realize the he is in love with his best friend until she goes away to Ireland and he is left alone at home. He is ready to confess what he feels for her when she get back but he encounters a problem; the night he asked his best friend out she tell him that she is getting married and that she wants him to be her maid of honor. He is put in an awkward situation but he agrees to be her maid of honor only with the goal to separate her with her fiancée so he can win her back. When they go to Ireland for her wedding, he tries everything possible to break them apart but isn’t successful until the day he breaks into their wedding and she realizes that the one she should be marrying is her best friend.

The other movie I saw was Just Married starring Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy. This movie is

external image justmarried.jpg

about Tom and Peewee (nickname) getting married after their long relationship. After they get married, they go to Europe for their honeymoon and everything ends up being a total disaster. They decide to leave Europe early and go home since they are not enoying theirself. They think there are total strangers because they have some important secrets that they didn’t share before. When they leave to their separate houses, Tom gets words of encouragement from his father and realizes that they should put their differences aside and go get her back. He goes to her house and has a tough time getting inside the gates because her family didn’t want to let him in. When Peewee presses the button to the gate, they both start running towards each other and have a happy ending.
